Thank you to our current and future clients who attended the joint William J. Sutton & Co. Ltd. and Goodhealth Worldwide seminar at both the Toronto and Calgary IFB education summits this spring. The presentation entitled International Medical Insurance: Frontiers to the Future was very well received and highlighted the issues and opportunities surrounding worldwide expatriate medical insurance and the benefits of the Goodhealth International Healthcare Plans.
Some of the highlights of the discussion included the following statistics:
- Canada has seen an average of almost 63,500 residents leaving on a permanent or temporary basis every year for the last five years.
- For the 12-month period from June 2005 to July 2006, 64,113 Canadian residents (0.4% of the overall population) moved abroad.
- The largest province making up this number is Toronto with 12, 847 (20%) outbound residents for the same period.
- The inbound expatriate market may also provide a significant additional opportunity with over 250,000 new residents arriving last year.

These large numbers demonstrate a sustainable demand in the market for an established specialist to provide the niche service required for international medical insurance.
It has been six weeks since we announced the launch of the fully Canadian licensed Goodhealth Canadian International Healthcare Plan for expatriates and we are pleased with the response received from the market place thus far. We thank you for your continued support.
